UDHAMPUR, Aug 7: As part of Science Express-Biodiversity Special Train which has been thrown open for public at Railway Station, Udhampur since yesterday, the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Udhampur unit, organized an Inter-School Quiz competition entitled “Science Express-Biodiversity Special and Discover India” at Railway Station, here.
Students drawn from various Schools including Common Public Hr Sec School, Sangroor, Kandriya Vidyalaya-2, Dhar Road and Happy Model Hr Sec School, Udhampur took part in the competition and answered about 100 questions related to various components of Science Express.
The team of Usman and Robin Singh from Happy Model Hr Sec School, Udhampur, team of Km. Shaguna and Km. Remu from Common Public Hr Sec School, Sangoor and the team of Saurav and Harsha from Kendriya Vidyalaya-2, Dhar Road, Udhampur were adjudged first, second and third respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurnam Singh, I/C Field Publicity Office, Udhampur and Gopal Singh, I/C Field Publicity Office, Doda highlighted the aims and objective for the launch of such mega events with special emphasis on Science Express- Biodiversity special.
