JAMMU, Aug 7: Crime Branch Jammu has booked a Constable of J&K Auxilery Police and Secretary State Board of Technical Education among three persons for procuring fake ITI certificate and using the same to cheat Police Department for selection.
A Case FIR number 18/2014 under Section 420,465,467,468,471,RPC read with Section 5(2) PC Act Svt 2006 has been registered against SDRF Constable Shakeel Ahmed, Secretary State Board of Technical Education N H Malik and Khurshid Ahmed at Police Station Crime Branch Jammu.
The case was registered following a written complaint lodged by the CO SDRF-2nd Bn, J&K, Jammu alleging that one Shakeel son of Mohammad Yaqoob of Langer, Jammu was selected as Constable in J&K Auxiliary Police (SDRF) and subsequently adjusted in SDRF 2nd Bn. for issuance of formal appointment order but during verification of his original certificates, his ITI/NCC certificates were found fake and fabricated.
During the course of enquiry, it came to fore that the accused Shakeel Ahmed prior to his selection as Constable in SDRF was working as Constable in CISF, when his cousin met with one Khurshid Ahmed (No ARP-013084) who was then posted with DIG IR, Kashmir, Chairman of the Recruitment Board, and who demanded an amount of Rs 1.50 lakh for facilitating the selection of Shakeel Ahmed as Constable in SDRF. On this an amount of Rs 45,000/- & Rs 20,000/- was transferred in the Bank A/c of said Khurshid Ahmed by his cousin besides paying him some amount in cash. It was further revealed that the ITI certificate annexed by Shakeel Ahmed was stated to be genuine by then Secretary State Board of Technical Education N H Malik, however, there was no corresponding record available in respect of the said ITI certificate which clearly suggests that the said certificate was prepared/procured illegally and used by accused Shakeel Ahmed in active connivance of Khurshid Ahmed and then Secretary, State Board of Technical Education N.H Malik with malafide intentions in order to cheat the Police Department and secure his selection as constable in the J&K Auxiliary Police (SDRF).
