Educational institutions celebrate Raksha Bandhan with religious fervour, gaiety

JAMMU, Aug 9: Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety in various educational institutions, here today.
Model Academy, the prestigious School of MIER celebrated Raksha Bandhan in both its branches at B C Road and Residency Road with great enthusiasm and fervour.
On this occasion, a special assembly was organized in which girl students recited poems and sang songs for their brothers’ long life.
K C International School celebrated Raksha Bandhan in a unique way as Class IInd children tied rakhis to the mother nature and took oath to protect mother nature as she is protecting us from many centuries.
Rakhi and Card making competition was also organized, where students dedicated quality time to touch the soul of the festival.
School Principal, Dr Ravi Bhushan, spoke on the importance of the festival.
Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in SD Sabha High School, Rehari by the students and staff with great enthusiasm.
Some girl students tied rakhi on the wrist of the president of the Management Committee of the School, Prof BR Sharma and other members. Sweets were distributed among the students on the occasion.
SP Higher Secondary School, Bari Brahmana celebrated Rakhi Festival with zeal and zest and all the students participated in the rakhi competition held on the occasion.
Prizes were distributed among the students by the chief guest, Prabha Gupta, School Principal.
The prize winners included Kiran Azmaan, Simran, Vivek, Gorav, Vasu, Rani, Tamana Sr, Tamana Jr and Samina.
Little toddlers of Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival with religious fervour. Female students in colourful dresses brought beautiful handmade rakhis, chocolates and candles to tie them on the wrists of male students, who in turn presented gifts to them.
School Principal Rameshwar Singh Mengi said such festivals inculcate moral values among the students.
JK Little Millennium Playway School, Tirth Nagar Talab Tillo Jammu celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival with great fervour and enthusiasm.
Students were present in colourful dresses and were excited over the festival.
Girls tied rakhis on the wrists of boys who in turn offered gifts for new eternal bond of holy love between brother and sister.
The event was organized by the Co-coordinator Little Millennium in association with facilitators.
Dewan Devi HSS, Rajpura celebrated Raksha Bandhan with usual fervour and gaiety that one associates with this auspicious occasion.
Students were also familiarized with customs and rituals of Raksha Bandhan. Girls tied rachis on the wrists of boys.
Raksha Bandhan, a historic sibling festival of unity and protection was celebrated today in the premises of 42 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal, Batote by visiting the nearby girls / kids of Schools including Govt Senior Secondary School, Batote.
On the occasion, Sham Kapoor, Commandant 42 Bn SSB spoke about the festival and highlighted the commitment of force for safe guarding and protection of general public of the area especially women, girls and children.
Bachpan Tiny Scholars School Jawahar Nagar Kathua today celebrated Raksha Bandhan with gaiety.
The function started with lighting of traditional lamp by the Principal, Manisha Gupta and staff members.
About 300 students participated in rakhi making competition and made beautiful rakhis. The students of Bachpan wing tied rakhis to each others and received gifts.
Poems were also recited by the students of Bachpan to show the importance of tying rakhi to brothers.

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School, Udheywala Jammu with traditional fervour and gaiety.
In a specially arranged morning assembly organized by Uttma Tickoo, House master Vishwa House gave a kick start to the celebration with an impressive speech.
Dharni Raina and Archana Saini both from class 7th C also spoke on the occasion.
The colourful threads of love and affection were made by these tiny tots.
Rakhis prepared by Shiya Saini, Mohit Singh, Sohanvi Dogra, Pariyanchi, Bhaiyashiya Saraf, Komal Padro and Rohit Thusoo were adjudged the best.
Euro Care celebrated Raksha Bandhan with religious fervour and vigour today.
Special assembly was organized in the School premises, wherein kids with colourful attires enjoyed the day by tying rakhis on the wrists of others. Brothers and sisters exchanged love and affection on the occasion.

Kidzee Pre-School of ZEE-Network Ltd celebrated Raksha Bandhan at its branches in Anand Nagar Bohri, Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat and Talab Tiloo with great enthusiasm and joy.
A special assembly was conducted in which the toddlers were given demonstration regarding this special celebration. Girls tied rakhis on the wrists of the boys and enjoyed each and every moment of the celebration.
