Glasgow, Aug 11:
Reigning world billiards champion Peter Gilchrist outclassed former world champions Pankaj Advani and Rupesh Shah en route to his Galsgow Open triumph and register his first title of the season.
The New Zealand-born Singaporean player eased past former world champion (Points Format) Shah with a victory margin of 399 points (688-289) in the 90 minutes title clash.
Gilchrist compiled two century breaks in the final — 180 and 106 while Shah responded with 133.
Gilchrist maintained his consistency throughout the warm-up event and had defeated nine-time world champion Advani in the semifinals by a comfortable margin.(PTI)
