JAMMU, Aug 11: An extension lecture was organized by the Center for Educational Research of MIER College of Education on the topic ‘Promoting the use of Technology in Teacher Education’. Dr Mool Raj Sharma, Assistant Professor, MIER College of Education and Head Centre for Educational Technology was the resource person, while Dr Arun K Gupta, Chairman MIER Group of Institutions presided over the programme. The lecture was attended by Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER, Dr Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, HoDs of various wings of MIER along with their faculty members. Earlier, Dr H R Shan, Head CER presented welcome address. Dr Mool Raj Sharma deliberated upon the latest technological advances in the field of teacher education. Dr Arun Gupta also addressed the participants and put forth his views. He also informed the participants about the trends in this area and how they are being incorporated in the teaching learning process. He said that technology is the buzz word in every field today and it should be put to best use in the field of education as well.
