JAMMU, Aug 11: Supporting the students who are protesting for admission to re-appear candidates in GDC Paloura, Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) along with Jammu Joint Students Union (JJSU) held a protest demonstration.
Shouting slogans against the College administration, the protesting students blocked the vehicular traffic at Canal Road. They were demanded admissions for re-appear candidates in Part I.
State Sec BJYM, Partap Singh Jamwal, speaking on the occasion, said that the administration of the college had no logical answer on barring the re-appear candidates for further admission in 1st year.
“It is clearly mentioned in the Cabinet order that all the Government colleges which started functioning after 2005 will admit the re-appear students”, said Partap adding that it is also mentioned in the order that there are specific seats for these colleges.
Terming attitude of the college administration as dictatorial and anti-students, he threatened to further intensify the agitation if admission is not granted.
Neeraj Singh Langeh said that there were only 15 to 25 re-appear students who were being denied admission.
