JAMMU, July 16: Maintaining that the ongoing ERA and NBCC sewerage project in Jammu West Constituency is futile, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM), Sunil Dimple, alleged that the Government is spending lavishly the hard earned money of the common man on the ERA and NBCC sewerage works in the city.
Dimple said if the sewerage project fails this will be a big blot on the Omar Abdullah Government, as we are alarming continuously that the project is a big scandal and some influential mafia is operating behind the project to shelter the misdeeds of the sewerage sub-standard work.
Stating that due to the sewerage project, the beauty of the city of temples has been destroyed, as the roads and lanes are in worst condition, traffic scenario has been collapsed, trade and business have come to a halt, he said why the Chief Minister is silent on the issue when all the people of Jammu are against the sub-standard work of the ERA and demanding CBI inquiry on it.
Dimple demanded compensation for the traders and shopkeepers whose business has been badly affected by the ERA works.
