SRINAGAR, Aug 12: Talented 8 players were selected by the experts of J&K State Sports Council in an open competition held at Nehru Park, here.
The selected players will represent the State and Jammu and Kashmir in the National event of Canoe Polo to be held at Udhaipur in Rajasthan on August 14, 2014.
RK Bhat Commandant/SSP Civil Defence and Home Guards was the chief guest on the occasion.
Others who were present on the occasion included Bilquees Mir, National coach; JB Singh Bali, Joint Secretary, J&K State Sport Council; Abdul Qayoom, Divisional Sports Officer; Aamir Ali, Deputy Chief Warden CD; ASI Shabir Ahmed Khan and Ghulam Rasool from CD. The rescue team of CD and SDRF was also present on the occasion.
