RAJOURI, Aug 25: Former Minister and MLA Rajouri Shabir Ahmed Khan laid foundation stone of a light motor vehicles bridge over Androoth nallah in Doongi block being constructed with the cost of Rs 86 lakh the other day.
Mr Khan, a senior Congress leader also chaired Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting of Primary Health Centre Androoth and gave nod to the utilization of funds in the interest of public. All the members of Samiti attended the meeting. Block Medical Officer, Dr Shamim Choudhary read the meeting agenda. In the meeting, the doctors of the PHC and adjoining Health Centers were also present.
While addressing gathering at the village, the MLA claimed that during 2013-14, the then Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad provided Rs 434 crore to the State instead of Rs 224 crore for the benefit of the people here. He said that Azad did a lot for improving health care of the people in the State. Mr Khan impressed upon the doctors and para-medical staff to work with zeal and dedication in the area.
On the demand of the people of the area, the MLA laid foundation stone of a bridge on Androoth nalla. This bridge for the light motor vehicles is being constructed with the cost of Rs 86 crore by R&B. Khan said that better development, infrastructure and connectivity is the only priority of Congress party. Many development works have been launched in the area. During visit of the area, the MLA also reviewed certain development works. The party leaders Qazi Mushtaq, Shakeel Mir, Umer Malik and Gulzar Hussain- Sarpanch also accompanied the Minister.
