JAMMU, Aug 27: Kalidhar Memorial Army School, Sunderbani celebrated its Annual Day, here.
The School is run by the local Army authorities since 1997 and was built to commemorate the brave martyrs who fought various battles in the surrounding areas.
The school has children up to class 10th and is affiliated to the local J&K Education Board.
The theme of the celebrations was “Colours of India” which was represented in various forms and hues by the School children.
The function began with the lighting of the traditional lamp.
The function was attended by the chief guest, Shalini Sehgal and other civil dignitaries alongwith the parents and guardians of the children. The function began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest on the occasion.
The Principal presented an annual report followed by a colourful performance by the School children of various age groups who performed with zeal and enthusiasm.
The chief guest felicitated the students who excelled in academic and extracurricular activities and the patron of the School congratulated the teachers for their contribution towards improving the standard of the School, both academically and in extracurricular activities.
The Kalidhar Brigade is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year and the school function has added to the celebrations which is ongoing during this week.
