JAMMU, Aug 27: As part of ongoing Sadhbawana fortnight, the NSS unit of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar organized a guest lecture on animal care here today.
Animal rights activist Malvika Kalra gave a power point presentation on animal-human relation to the NSS volunteers of college. She spoke at length on various aspects of animal-human relations, tremendous role played by animals in serving mankind and maintaining ecological balance and other plight and exploitations by humans in turn.
She also underlined the need for playing ethical rile towards their care and protection. She also distributed literature on animal-human relations among the participants.
Principal of the College Dr Kiran Bakshi said that NSS volunteers can play more pivotal role in taking the message to the society.
Earlier, Dr Ashaq Malik, NSS Programme Officer introduced the audience about the programme.
NSS volunteer Sanam Khan conducted the programme whereas NSS Programme Officer Prof Shrotika Rajput presented vote of thanks.
Among others present were NSS Programme Officers Dr Shiveta Gandotra, Prof Nazia Rasool and Prof Manisha Kohli.
