SRINAGAR, Aug 28: Speaker of Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul today directed the Government to implement the recommendations of the House Committee on road accidents strictly to avoid road accidents.
Gul directed the administration for providing immediate ex-gratia to the deceased families and all possible treatment to the injured in Banihal accident in which 8 people lost their lives.
Speaker on behalf of the House expressed shock and grief over the demise of nine persons in a road accidents at Banihal this morning.
Gul expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
Minister of State for Technical Education Vikar Rasool today informed the Legislative Assembly about the road mishap. He also condoled the demise of these persons, expressing sympathies with the bereaved families.
MY Tarigami and GM Saroori also voiced concern over the rising road accidents and demanded strict implementation of the report of the House Committee in this regard.
