JAMMU, Aug 28: The second day of the Open Volleyball Tournament, hosted by Banyan International School, saw some closely fought matches as the lineups for tomorrow’s finals and the third place match were decided today.
BSF School Paloura opened the day with a convincing 25-8 25-11 win over Model Academy, while APS crushed Air Force School 25-9 25-4.
Earlier, in the semifinals, Shiksha Niketan scripted a thrilling win over Banyan International School by 25-14 26-24 to seal berth in the finals, while APS Akhnoor beat BSF School Paloura by 25-16 25-15 and earned the place to play against Shiksha Niketan in the finals tomorrow. The hard-liner between BSF School and Banyan International School will start at 9 am and the final will be played at 10 am tomorrow.
