UDHAMPUR, Aug 29: Two days Annual District Level Inter School Athletic Meet for Under-19 boys and girls got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
Around 70 girls drawn from 9 institutions of district took part in the Meet, which is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the supervision of Sukhdev Singh, DYSSO, Udhampur.
The long jump Under-19 girls gold went to Poonam Sharma of GHSS Udhampur, while high jump gold was bagged by Sonali Sharma of HSS Garhi and triple jump gold went to Asha Devi of GHSS Udhampur.
The javelin thow gold was bagged by Preety of GHSS Tikri, while shot put gold went to Sardaran Bibi of GHSS Garhi and Shallu Devi claimed 100 meters sprint gold. The gold medal in 200 meters race was bagged by Rekha Devi.
The Meet was officiated by Raj Kumar, Rakesh, Raman Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Neeta Devi and Shashi Bala.
