JAMMU, Aug 31: J&K Govt Employees & Workers Federation has urged upon the Government to remove pay anomalies and regularize all the daily rated/ consolidated workers.
In a joint press statement issued here senior members of the Federation Kulwant Singh, Shahid Hussain, Suresh Kumar, K S Jamwal and Ravinder Singh expressed anguish over the anti-employee stance of the State Government. They pointed out that despite agreement and assurances by the Government, the employees have not been provided justice. The workers are on the roads and they are staging protests and dharnas but the Government has been adopting delaying tactics.
They demanded that Government should resolve the pending issues of the employees which included removal of pay anomalies, framing of policy for the regularization of daily rated/ consolidated/ contractual workers, settlement of the grievances of RETs, EVS, Anganwadi workers, release of pending DA due from January 2014, enhancement of Medical allowance etc.
Kulwant Singh, president of the Federation appealed the State Government to resolve the pending issues of the employees and workers without any further delay. He said that members of the body would visit various districts to garner employees’ support and launch a united struggle for the common cause.
