JAMMU, Sept 1: Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association has invited the players to register themselves with the Association at an earliest.
According to a handout issued here, president of the Association, Anil Kumar Gupta has advised all the State kabaddi players including boys and girls to register with the Association as per the decision of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India.
He further said that those players of the State who will not register themselves with the Association will not be allowed to participate in North Zone, All India Tournament, Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Nationals, Beach and Circle Style.
The eligibility for participation in Senior National Championship is maximum weight for men below 80 kgs and women below 70 kgs, while for Junior National Kabaddi Championship, the eligibility for participation for boys is weight below 65 kgs and age below 20 years, while for girls it is below 60 kgs and age below 20 years.
For Sub-Junior National Kabaddi Championship, the eligibility for participation is maximum weight and age for boys below 50 kgs and age below16 years and girls below 50 kgs and age below 16 years.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, general secretary J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association said that all the State kabaddi players will be registered before September 30, 2014 before participation in the forthcoming Nationals.
