SRINAGAR, Sept 1: Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul distributed certificates among the participants who had taken part in the Kashmir Gold Cup (Taekwon-Do)-2013. The function was held in the lawns of Legislative Assembly Srinagar.
While interacting with the players, Mr. Gul congratulated them for bringing laurels to the State, especially for winning such a good number of gold medals for J&K State at various national and international championships. He hoped that the players of the State will continue to excel on national and international level.
Mr. Gul also congratulated the organizers/J&K National Sports Club which organized the events on the eve of Silver Jubilee Celebration of J&K National Sports Club.
The ceremony was attended by a number of national and international past and present sports players and other dignitaries.
Mr. RGN Wani announced during the said event that they are preparing for organizing Mega Event of Kashmir Gold Cup (Taekwon-Do)-2014.
Mr Gul hoped that the organizers will continue their efforts for holding such successful events in future as well, so that the talent of the players of the State is explored and they will get a good platform to excel on national and as well as international levels.
The Speaker was also introduced to the players of J&K Football and Tennis Players who are going to Maharashtra for participation in Senior National Football Tennis Championship-2014 during which selections for XI World Championships for Junior, Men and Women that will take place in Nicosia/Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus from October 19 to October 24, 2014. 2 players from J&K State will be selected for said international championships.
A good number of students from Green Valley School, Ellahibagh, Srinagar were also present during the said event.
