JAMMU, Sept 3: The inclement weather conditions played spoilsport as none of the matches scheduled for the day could be played today in the 1st Marh Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament-2014 of Marh constituency, which was declared open by the Minister for Planning and Development, Labour and Employment, Ajay Sadhotra at Mandal cricket ground, here yesterday.
All three matches scheduled for the day between Bawa Pad Devta Club and Mann CC; Rajput CC Makwal and Tiger CC Raipur Jagir and Shri Shastri CC Sonjana and Saharan CC-B were abandoned due to rain and wet conditions and as per the rules of the tournament, equal points were shared between the teams.
The president of the organizing committee of the tournament, Ankush Abrol has informed that three matches have also been scheduled for day-3 of the tournament tomorrow.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Kallian Cricket Club will lock horns with Friends Cricket Club ‘A’, Sum Cricket Club will face Sajadpur Cricket Club and Haripur Cricket Club will take on Royals Papniyal Cricket Club at the same venue tomorrow.
