JAMMU, Sept 9: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Chief Election Coordinator for Jammu Province, Abdul Hamid Choudhary today made a fervent appeal to the Central Government, State agencies and Telecommunication companies to restore all communication links so that people could contact their dear ones stranded on either side of the National Highway and are unable to communicate owing to snapped telephone and cellular links.
Expressing his shock over loss of lives in entire State due to flash floods caused by torrential rains, Hamid Choudhary added that State has already paid a heavy price for corruption and nepotism in the form of lost lives and damaged infrastructure. The Government should immediately replace corrupt and inefficient from their positions and handover restoration and rebuilding job to those who care for people and know the value of human lives.
