Manohar holds public grievances camp to assess flood damages

KATHUA, Sept 10: Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperatives, Finance and Planning, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, held a public grievances camp here today.
Deputations from across Billawar Assembly constituency met the Minister and apprised him of their problems and demands.
The deputation of Ward No 5 of Billawar town demanded immediate replacement of old worn out wires to avoid any mishap. The problem of low votage was also highlighted during the meeting.
Dr Sharma after listening to the problems of various deputations which were mostly related to shortage of civic amenities assured that every effort will be made to lessen sufferings of people.
The Minister directed the health authorities to keep sufficient stock of medicine available besides asking SDM to personally visit Public Health Centres to ensure availability of doctor and other para medical staff. He also directed PHE Department to provide clean drinking water to the people. He directed Flood Control Department to help people in flood affected areas and provide necessary infrastructure to ensure safety of the people.
