5 gamblers nabbed by Channi Himmat police

JAMMU, Sept 11: Five gamblers were nabbed along with Rs 5,180 stake money and playing cards from Talab Market area, falling under the jurisdiction of Channi Himmat police station.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, a team from Channi Himmat police station conducted a raid in Talab Market area and nabbed five gamblers along with Rs 5,180 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Nariender Kumar, son of Banarsi Dass Paswan of Bihar, at present Sector 1, Channi Himmat, Shaliender Kumar, son of Nathu Paswan of Bihar, at present Talab Market, Shankar, son of Suresh of Bihar, at present Talab Market, Amarjeet, son of Vijay Matto of Bihar and Murli Kumar, son of Vijay, a resident of Talab Market.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against them at Channi Himmat police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Channi Himmat police station Inspector Aejaz Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
