Man dies due to alleged negligence of police

JAMMU, Sept 12: The public today torched a police vehicle at Supwal when a person died after being hit by an unknown vehicle due to the alleged negligence of police.
According to the sources, Mohinder Pal Sharma (40) resident of Mathura (UP) died today after being hit by an unknown vehicle in front of Police Post, Supwal, but no police official came to his help and he died due to blood loss.
Meanwhile, expressing anger over the negligence of the police the hundreds of people assembled there, raised slogans against the Police and in fit of rage they put to fire the police vehicle standing in front of the Police Post, Supwal. They alleged that though the police vehicle was standing there but no police official bothered to shift the accident victim to hospital due to which he died.
Later, the SSP Samba, Anil Magotra and SHO Police Station, Samba, Ravinder Parihar visited the spot, pacified the angry public and with the help of locals shifted the body ultimately to District Hospital Samba.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned Police Station and investigations started.
