KATRA, Sept 13: Yatra to the holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji is proceeding smoothly via all the three routes of Sanjichhat-Bhawan, Adhkwari-Bhawan and Sanjichhat-Bhairon Temple track.
Responding to the queries of intending pilgrims from various parts of the country today in regard to the pilgrimage, Dr Mandeep K Bhandari, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, emphatically clarified that Yatra to the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji is progressing smoothly via all the three routes of Sanjichhat-Bhawan, Adhkwari-Bhawan and Sanjichhat-Bhairon Temple.
He informed that Jammu-Katra road is open and traffic is plying normally. Similarly, train services are also operating upto Katra as usual. He further clarified that helicopter services between Katra and Sanjichhat and Battery Car service between Adhkwari and Bhawan are also operating as usual.
He informed the intending pilgrims that they can plan their pilgrimage as per their convenience and there is no difficulty, whatsoever, on any account in undertaking the same.
The Chief Executive Officer again informed that Yatra to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine via Sanjichhat-Bhairon Ji Temple route was resumed by the Shrine Board on 8th of this month, while Sanjichhat-Bhawan track was thrown open for pilgrims on 9th September 2014, and the Lower Track between Adhkwari and Bhawan was reopened for Yatra on 11th of this month.
He reiterated that keeping in view the safety of pilgrims in the wake of incessant torrential rains, Yatra to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine which was temporarily suspended from Katra onwards after 4.00 pm on 4th of this month is now progressing smoothly round the clock on all the tracks leading to the Holy Cave Shrine.
