India Air Force Chief reviews relief operations in Srinagar

JAMMU, Sep 16:
Air Chief Arup Raha today visited Srinagar and reviewed the ongoing relief, rescue and restorations operations ongoing in the flood-ravaged Kashmir region.
On his arrival, the Chief of Air Staff was received by Lt Gen Subrata Saha, GOC 15 Corps and briefed on the ongoing rescue and relief operation launched by the armed forces for the flood-affected people in the state, Defence Spokesman said here today.
He reviewed the ongoing relief, rescue and restorations operations ongoing in the Kashmir region. The Air Chief was also briefed on the assistance being provided by the armed forces to the civil administration in restoration of the infrastructure and services.
The Air Chief called on Governor N N Vohra and also met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at his residence and discussed about the relief operations planned by the Government. (AGENCIES)
