Hindi Divas celebrated

JAMMU, Sept 17: To preserve sanctity of Hindi language which had been instrumental during the freedom movement, the Salal Power Station, Jyotipuram celebrated Hindi Divas, today.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest Sriprakash, Chief Engineer Civil by lighting the traditional lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sriprakash emphasized that celebrating Hindi Pakhwara for a fortnight in an year is not enough, adding that programmes need to be organized throughout the year.
The winners of various events organized by the Station were felicitated on the occasion.
Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Play School Jyotipuram presented a beautiful dancing performance on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Hindi Week is being celebrated in Army Public School Akhnoor in which various events related to Hindi are being presented by the students.
The activities are being held to promote language of Hindi in the Country.
Poetry and promotion of Hindi on International Level was highlighted on the occasion.
Chairman of the School Brig S K Dey and Principal K C S Mehta said that the students of all the classes are taking keen interest in the celebration of Hindi Week, being organized in the School.
