Sasan, others distribute relief

JAMMU, Sept 20: Chairman Children’s Welfare Society and senior NC leader Gurdeep Singh Sasan visited the flood victims putting up in relief camps at Pathi, Pancheri, Mansar, Kremchi, Landar, Karcha and interacted with disaster victims there and distributed one truck of cotton quilts among them.
He assured the victims that the coalition headed by Omar Abdullah is doing its best to reach out to the victims to redress the hardships being faced by them. He said though administration has done a lot in restoring road connectivity but a lot needs still to be done in view of approaching Winter.
Lakshmi Dutta, president Women Wing, Jammu province, Sunil Verma N C candidate for Udhampur, Ch Mohammed Shafi, Member State Gujjar Bakerwal Board accompanied Mr Sasan.
The people demanded upgradation of road from Supply Morh to Karcha, immediate restoration of power supply free timber for repairing of the houses, construction of new colonies for the landslide victims, immediate payment of cash relief for repairing of damaged house etc.
