Burglars decamp with gold ornaments, cash, mobile phones

KATHUA, Sept 20: The burglars decamped with five tolas of gold, Rs 20,000 cash and 20 mobile phones from a residential house and a shop in the Kathua town since late last night.
According to police the burglars intruded into the house of Kewal Kumar in Ward No 16 Kathua when his wife Kamlesh Kumari had gone to bring the children from the school this afternoon.
Police said the burglars after breaking the locks of the front door of the house intruded inside and decamped with golden ornaments weighing approximately five tolas and Rs 20,000 cash. Mr Kumar was not in the house as he was on his duty outside.
Kathua police has registered a case and started investigation. However no arrest has been made so far.
In another incident burglars decamped with 20 mobile phones from a Mobile networking shop late last night in main bazaar Kathua. According to Bhano Gupta, son of Mohan Lal Gupta proprietor of the shop, the burglars after crossing a roof top of the house had entered into the shop during late last night and decamped with 20 mobile phones. The Kathua police has registered a case but no one has been arrested in this connection so far.
