Jammu, Sept 21: In order to provide immediate relief to the flood victims, DIG Jammu Shakeel Ahmed Beig, along with Y.V. Sharma, ex-President Chamber of Commerce and Industries Jammu, Sham Lal Langer and Mohan Lal Kaith, SP Rural Jammu distributed blankets, tarpaulins and other eatable items to the peoples of various flood affected villages in the jurisdiction of Police Post Pouni Chak area.
The programme was organized in village Bhagatpur. The rice, pulses and tarpaulin sheets were provided by the J&K Police and blankets were provided by the traders and their Associations.
The immediate relief was provided to the flood victims for the time being till their relief cases are settled by the district administration. Among others Sanjay Parihar, SDPO Domana and J.P Sharma SHO Domana were present on the occasion.
The DIG Jammu also heard the grievances of flood affected victims and assured them of speedy redressal of their genuine demands.
