JAMMU, Sept 22: MLC BR Kundal has expressed-anguish over deaths in RS Pura due to snake bites and asked the concerned authorities to ensure availability of anti-snake venom in Sub-District Hospitals (SDHs) and Primary Health Centers (PHCs).
During his visit to RS Pura, a number of deputations met Kundal and resented the non-availability of anti-snake venom in Sub District Hospitals/Primary Health Centers due to which timely intervention to save human lives couldn’t be made resulting into quite a few deaths.
Kundal discussed the issue with Director Health Services, Jammu and Block Medical Officer, RS Pura, who were directed to ensure its availability in all Sub-District Hospitals and Primary Health Centers and also give due publicity at least, for another two months or till the paddy crop is harvested.
