Ex-MLA for early relief to Kalakote people

RAJOURI, Sept 22: Former legislator and senior Congress leader Ashok Sharma has demanded that construction material be provided to all the flood sufferers of Kalakote Constituency whose houses have been damaged so that they get shelter well before the coming winter season.
He pleaded that all the construction material including timber, cement and steel be provided to them at the sight free of cost besides masons and carpenters to accomplish this task on war footing.
Interacting with people affected by heavy rains, floods and landslides at Barwari, Saitha, Langar,Seari, Basu Bain, Khersoo and Kalara, the senior Congress leader urged that tents in adequate quantity alongwith blankets, utensils light provision and ration be provided to the displaced families in the area immediately to provide much needed support to them.
Referring to the serious damage caused to road connectivity in the constituency, he said that use of JCB’s and other heavy machinery should be avoided while constructing roads in the hilly areas.
Mr. Sharma demanded immediate supply of free ration full compensation and restoration of all essentials services in the rain hit areas without any delay.
