JAMMU, Sept 22: All India Backward Class Union has appealed the Central Government to take responsibility of relief distribution to the flood affected people of the State through Army.
In a meeting of the union under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik, president, a serious concern over the relief-distribution to the flood hit people was expressed and the speakers and participants after threadbare discussion arrived at the result that relief distribution system should in no way go in the hands of the State Government in view of its past experience.
Speakers expressed that the Coalition Government never did justice with the common people and ruled the State by muscle force by making its own rules and regulations under the pretext of Article 370.
The Union appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take full responsibility of the relief distribution through Army and also for making the relief a time-bound process for saving the lives of the people from starvation.
