KATHUA, Sept 23: As a part of Hindi Diwas celebration, the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today organized a Kavi Sammelan and Book Exhibition at Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education here today.
ADC Kathua Prasanna Ramaswamy G was the chief guest on the occasion while CEO LSDA Dr Bharat Bhushan presided over the function.
Chairperson of the College Anu Dogra, Additional Secretary, JKAACL, Dr. Arvinder Singh Aman, Principal of the college, faculty members and large number of students were present on the occasion.
The prominent writers and poets who participated in the Kavi Sammelan included Nirmal Vinod, Adarsh Malhotra, Vijya Thakur, Usha Monga, Dharamvir, T.R Sumbria, Khajoor Singh, Renu Padha, Vijay Sharma, Dr Paramjeet Sharma, Manohar Singh, Kuldeep kipy, Sanjay Sehgal, Som Akela, Saroj Bala, Satish Vimal, Arvind Sharma and college students.
Additional Secretary, JKAACL, Dr Arvinder Singh Aman in his welcome address said that JKAACL is premier institute of the state continuously striving to give exposure to the poets and students by organizing such events so that an interaction can be possible between literary personalities and students.
ADC Kathua Prasanna Ramaswamy G said that such occasions will further promote art, culture and languages. He appreciated the participating students and stressed for avail such opportunities in future also to express their thoughts through poetry.
On the occasion, a book exhibition was also organized which remained the centre of attraction.
