MENDHAR, Sept 23: Unemployed youth held protest demonstration against the District Education authorities Poonch for doing favourtism in the adjustment of teachers, the list of which was recently released.
The protesting youth alleged that against the posts of ReT teachers, some other general line teachers are being adjusted for showering favours by officers. They raised slogans against the CEO and Dy CEO Poonch besides the higher authorities. The protesting youth also damaged a Maruti car JK02C/ 6662 and beaten up a bike rider as they tried to move ahead amidst protest. The movement of vehicles remained stalled for some time.
Later, the SDM and SDPO Mendhar reached the spot and the youth lodged their protest with them. The SDM assured to hold inquiry into the matter. Then youth suspended their protest.
