Report back to duties: GAD

JAMMU, Sept 24: The Government today issued a fresh warning to the employees, who have not resumed duties till date, to report back at their respective places of posting immediately failing which they will be treated as absent from duties and necessary action as warranted under rules will be taken against them.
“The Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) shall not draw salaries for the month of September in favour of employees, who fail to report to duties by or before September 25, an official order issued by the GAD, said.
It asked the Administrative Secretaries to furnish details of delinquent employees to the GAD by September 29 positively.
Another GAD circular said the Estates Department has made sufficient arrangements of accommodation for Durbar Move employees, whose allotted accommodation has been affected due to unprecedented floods in Srinagar.
The employees needing temporary/alternate accommodation can contact Allotment Committee at the office of Director Estates, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar from 9 am to 5 pm and Estates Sub Division office at Gupkar from 5.30 pm to 7 pm.
The Committee comprised Showkat Ahmad Beigh, Special Secretary, Planning, Shahzada Bilal Ahmad, Director Planning, Manzoor Ahmad, Under Secretary GAD and Mazahir Hussain Shah, Assistant Director, Estates.
Meanwhile, the Government today proposed that all Government employees including members of All India Services in the State shall contribute one day’s salary towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for helping flood affected victims.
“The DDOs will collect the contributions and deposit them in the CM’s Relief Fund. The contributions are voluntary and it is expected that all employees will rise to the occasion and contribute to the Flood Relief Funds,” a separate GAD order said.
