JAMMU, Sept 24: Police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 19 years from Maheshpura area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bakshi Nagar police station.
A police spokesman said that, a team from Bakshi Nagar police station led by SHO Dileep Singh arrested an absconder from Maheshpura. The accused was evading his arrest since 1995.
The accused has been identified as Amol Singh, son of Shiv Ram of Janipur Colony.
The absconder was involved in case registered under FIR number 59/1995 under Section 341, 336/34 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act with Bakshi Nagar police station.
Police produced him in the court of law.
