Health Department clerks criticize Govt for not redressing demands

JAMMU, Sept 26: Clerical Association Health Department, Jammu province criticized the Government for its step motherly attitude towards their demands.
Addressing a press conference, newly elected president of the association Kuldeep Kumar Kotwal flayed the State Government for not paying heed towards their demands.
He stated that the Government had agreed on July 3, 2014 for removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre of 5th Pay Commission within one month, but nothing has been done in this regard till date, which has caused great resentment among the clerical cadre.
He demanded from the Government that the bar of passing the examination of Secretariat Training Course in respect of senior assistants for the post of head assistants should be exempted. He also demanded that the number of senior assistants entertained for such training should be increased.
“Keeping in view the strength of the senior assistants in the department as the number of senior assistant entertain for the training is meager and there should be fixed time frame for getting all the senior assistant undergo the said training”, he said. Kotwal stressed upon the concerned authorities to defuse the ongoing frustration and immediately redress the genuine demands.
He urged the Director Health Services to consider and redress the genuine demands at the earliest.
On behalf of association, Kotwal expressed solidarity with the administration and assured its complete cooperation with the administration in dealing with the situation caused by unprecedented disasters, instant rains, floods and landslides.
Rakesh Khajuria, publicity secretary along with other members of the association were also present during the press conference.
