MENDHAR, Sept 26: Dy Chief Education Officer Poonch, Mohd Azam Choudhary suspended a Head Master and charge sheeted twenty teachers and a peon for being absent from duty at two Govt High Schools Salwah and Uchhad in district Poonch today.
During surprise checking the DyCEO found 20 teachers absent from duty. The HMs had left attendance blank in the `arrival’ even for the three to ten days for favouring some teachers. He seized the arrival register and charge-sheeted Head Masters and teachers. HM Mohd Yunis of Uchhad School allegedly misbehaved with the DyCEO and he was suspended. The other teachers whose salary was stopped and charge-sheeted by the authorities from Uchhad School are- Azad Hussain Shah, Mohd Shakeel, Majid Ahmed, Om Parkash, Pawandeep Singh, Dilbag Singh, Mohd Wasim (PET), Mohd Shabir; from Salwah school- Sanjay Parkash, Kewal Kumar, Kabir Hussain, Pritam Kour, Dev Raj, Mohd Bashir, Manpreet Singh, Mohd Farooq, Gagandeep Kour, Usha Rani, Mohd Akram and Mohd Mukhtar. Headmaster of the other school Mohd Shabir was also charge-sheeted for keeping attendance blank in the register.
