‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign begins with enthusiasm

JAMMU, Sept 26: To realise Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of Clean India by his 150th birth anniversary in 2019, “Swachh Bharat” campaign has begun with enthusiasm.
Swachh Bharat campaign has begun at Salal Power Station, NHPC, Jyotipuram. Giving start to this campaign, a programme was organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jyotipuram. Sri Prakash, CE, Rajeev Jerath, CE, Jugal K Sharma, Manager (HR) and. Kulwinder Kumar Gherra, Principal of the institution highlighted the need of this campaign and importance of cleanliness in our lives and started this drive with cleanliness of the premises of this institution which was joined by all senior officers and teaching staff in presence of the students, parents and others. This drive started at Jyotipuram jointly by NHPC Officers, Vidyalaya staff and employee’s union representatives.
Swachh Bharat campaign commenced at Cantonment Board. In this regard general cleanness of corridors and work space was done today.
Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Gandhi Nagar TR Choudhary along with teachers, school captains and senior secondary students participated in the campaign to clean and maintain the Vidyalaya garden area on the second day of the Swachh Vidyalay campaign.
