JAMMU, Sept 30: NSS wing of Government MAM College Jammu in its second phase of collection of relief material for flood victims of the State handed over a Demand Draft of Rs 22,737 in favour of the Chief Minister Relief Fund and other relief material to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
The relief material amounting to the tune of Rs 30,000 comprised of sugar, water bottles, milk powder, salt, soap, detergent powder and tea leaves.
In the first phase, the NSS Volunteers had distributed clothes, food and stationery items worth Rs 30,000 among 114 flood victim families of the Sure Chak village of Jammu district.
The whole exercise was performed as a part of their five-day NSS special camp for flood victims under the supervision of Dr Mazammal Hussain, Dr SC Sharma and Dr Sangita Soodan, all NSS Programme Officers of the college.
