Srinagar, Oct 1: An attempt to break open the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of J&K Bank was foiled today by a group of vigilant villagers at Arizal in Budgam District.
According to the reports, some unidentified burglars at round 2 am attempted to rob cash from the ATM. But vigilant locals of the area chased the burglars who managed to give slip to them.
The bank authorities have appreciated the efforts of the locals who risked their lives to thwart the burglary.
