Symposium organized in GDC Samba

JAMMU, Oct 2: The District Red Cross Society, Samba celebrated voluntary Blood Donation Day today in Government Degree College (GDC) Samba under the Chairmanship of DDC Samba Mubarak Singh.
On the occasion, a symposium was organized by the District Red Cross Society, Samba in collaboration with GDC Samba in which 10 students participated.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC highlighted the importance and benefits of blood donation and asked the youths to come forward for this noble cause and save the precious lives.
Prof Ramesh Chander, principal of the college, also spoke on the occasion and emphasized the importance of donating Blood.
The resource person, Dr Rajesh enriched the audience by giving very valuable input regarding the blood donation and asked the students to come forward and also educate others also for this noble cause.
Prizes were also distributed among the winners. The 1st Prize was bagged by Alka of BSc Part -III, 2nd by Ruhi of BSc Part III and 3rd by Simranjeet Singh of BSc Part-I. Several other consolation prizes were also distributed among the participants.
Among others ADC, Samba Vivek Sharma, GM, DIC, Satish Sharma, DSWO, Fareed Ahmad Kohli, Red Cross Volunteers, Neelam Singh, Vinod Kumar, Ajay Singh and staff of the GDC Samba were also present on the occasion.
