Chennaiyin squad to train here from today

CHENNAI, Oct 4:
‘Sometimes, the best players don’t  necessarily make the best team, we are going to prove this’: this would be the slogan inspiring the Chennaiyin Friends FC, the only other Indian Super League (ISL) football franchise from south with Kerala, when its league engagements kick off.
One of the key players of the squad Spanish midfielder Borja Feranandez set these inspiring words in his short speech after the Chennai franchise squad shifted base here  to train for the matches. They were training in Bangalore  hitherto as the Nehru Stadium where the grass was ‘heavy’,  was being readied. The team’s coach-cum-player former Italian world cup winner Marco Metterazi introduced the team to the  media here.
“We are ready for the mission,” he said, adding the team  was glad to be back ‘home’ (Chennai).    While the team has roped in another talent Columbian Mendoza two days ago, another of its star players France’s defender and former Manchester United player Mikael Silvestre said ‘this is not my first visit to Chennai. I was in Mumbai before. I am looking forward to start the season soon.’ More (UNI)
