JAMMU, Oct 10: Proclamation under Section 87 CrPC was issued by Judicial Magistrate against father and his son, who were wanted in series of robbery cases in Channi Himmat area.
As per police sources, proclamation under Section 87 CrPC was issued by Judicial Magistrate against Charanjit Singh, son of Basant Singh and his son Rajveer Singh.
Police team from Channi Himmat Police Station led by SHO Inspector Aejaz Wani under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu carried out drum beating outside the residence of the accused and also pasted proclamation.
The Court has directed the accused to appear in person before 30 days.
It is pertinent to mention that, the accused father-son were involved in series of theft cases in Channi Himmat area. They are wanted in FIR numbers 147/2013, 129/13, 25/2013, 111/2013, 6/2014 and 7/14. Channi Himmat police had recovered property worth crores of rupees from their house. The accused are still absconding.
