UDHAMPUR, Oct 12: Open Table Tennis Championship for boys and girls concluded at Badminton Hall of Mini-Stadium, here today.
MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia, was the chief guest where as president, District Udhampur Table Tennis Association, Sunil Sharma, presided over the event. District Youth president, Panthers Party, Balwan Singh was the guest of honour.
The championship was organized by the Udhampur Table Tennis Academy in collaboration with National Panthers Student Union. 300 participants from different parts of the district participated in three-day championship.
Sahil Malgotra beat Seeraj by 3-0 in Junior (Boys), Kanav thrashed Sunny by 3-1 in Men’s, Ajay drubbed Mahi by 3-2 in Sub-Junior, Purvi beat Parul by 3-2 in Women’s category while Akshima defeated Aksa Shah by 3-2 in Junior (Girls’ category).
The matches were officiated by Sunny Sharma and Akashdeep.
Prominent among those present were Surinder Sharma, Anil Gupta, secretary, Badminton Association, Udhampur, Sudhir Manhas, Prem Kishore Sharma, Rajinder Sharma, Baljeet Singh and Manjusha Rani.
