JAMMU, Oct 13: The Vigilance Organization, Jammu has registered case against a Senior Assistant, working as Cashier/Accountant in Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu for embezzling lakhs of rupees from the Hospital Development Fund.
A case FIR number 26/2014 of Police Station VOJ has been registered against S Inderpaul Singh of Lane number 2, Sector number 13, Nanak Nagar, Jammu under section 5(1)(c)(d) read with Section 5(2) of Jammu & Kashmir Prevention of Corruption Act, 2006-Bk & Section 409 RPC.
The Joint Surprise Check (JSC) has established that the accused official misappropriated an amount of Rs 5,06,955/- and Rs 3,27,552/- from the Hospital Development Fund of Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu during the period 11/2011 to 03/2013 and 04/2008 to 10/2009 respectively.
JSC was conducted to enquire into the allegations regarding fraudulent double drawl of Diet Bills and misappropriation of Hospital Development Fund.
