JAMMU, Oct 13: BSF Inter Frontier Games 2014-15 were inaugurated today by IG, Jammu Frontier, Rakesh Sharma, at BSF Stadium Paloura in the presence of distinguish gathering of spectators including senior retired BSF officers.
The IG BSF, who was the chief guest on the occasion, took the salute from colourful marching contingents of the players representing 12 BSF Frontiers from all over the country.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest said that physical fitness is of the utmost importance for everyone, young and old. Participation in games and sports invariably ensures good health, fitness and generally, freedom from ailments of various types.
A lively cultural programme was also presented by the students of BSF School, Paloura.
More than thousand players will compete in various sports events which will conclude on October 17, 2014.
