JAMMU, Oct 15: The upcoming Income Tax Colony at Resham Ghar will be handed over to the department in the month of December.
This was assured by Mohd Rafique, the AGM of NBCC Ltd, which is engaged in the construction of Income Tax Colony at Resham Ghar to the Commissioner of Income Tax, A K Thatai when the latter visited the construction site today along with other officers of the department.
The upcoming colony is a dream project of the Commissioner of Income Tax, who has been taking keen interest towards the development of this project since his posting here in early 2012.
The colony would provide ultra modern houses with all facilities to the officers who come on posting of the department at Jammu and would alleviate the big and serious issue of housing from amongst the departmental officers who normally find it difficult to get a good dwelling unit within their house rent entitlement.
“This would definitely enhance their work efficiency”, the CIT said.
Those who accompanied the CIT were Rohit Mehra, JCIT, Mini Chandran U, DCIT (HQ), Jasbir Singh, Deepak Sharma and Lucky Sharma.
