JAMMU, Oct 17: For ensuring timely preparation of convergence plans with the line departments under MGNREGA, a State level executive committee has been constituted by the Government.
The executive committee, comprising of 11 Administrative Secretaries of different departments, will monitor and ensure timely preparation of convergence plans with the line departments under MGNREGA and proper implementation of such plans at ground level for creation of durable assets besides providing work to the rural work force at their door step.
Headed by the Administrative Secretary of Planning & Development Department as its chairman, the committee shall meet at least once in a quarter.
