JAMMU, Oct 18: In the ongoing 6th Pawan Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament being held at Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor, New Challenger thrashed Jammu Bulls in the lone match played today.
Winning the toss, Jammu Bulls decided to bat first and raised a score of 97 for 10 in 19.3 overs, which the New Challenger easily scored by losing only 2 wickets and thus won the match by 8 wickets.
For Jammu Bulls, Ali scored 20 runs in 18 balls, Sham 21 in 22 balls while Jeevan Jyoti also contributed 16 runs in 20 balls.
For New Challenger, Paras Sharma was the pick of the bowler, who took 3 wickets, while Sumit, Vijay Dogra and Deepak Manhas also took 2 wickets each.
In reply, New Challenger easily chased the target in 10.4 overs just losing 2 wickets. Manjit Singh of New Challenger remained not out with 43 runs in just 30 balls. Ashu also added 20 runs to the total.
Manjit Singh was declared as the man of the match for his spectacular performance with the bat.
Vikas Bali and Sham Singh Langeh acted as umpires while Rajesh Sharma was the scorer. The tournament is being organized by Singh Cricket Club, Akhnoor.
