JAMMU, Oct 19: J&K Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice organized a seminar, here today, on the topic “Can the traditional, pseudo-secular, opportunistic & corrupt politicians provide a viable alternative and adequate solution of peoples problems”.
Speakers on the occasion rejected the existence of present traditional, pseudo-secular, corrupt and opportunistic political parties and appealed the people to route out these outfits in coming Assembly elections of 2014 in the State.
Holding Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru and Sheikh Mohd Abdullah responsible for deliberately mishandling the situation of Jammu & Kashmir in 1947, they alleged that present painful sufferings of people were due to huge corruption at all levels and shortsighted lot of politicians in the country as well as in the State.
Those, who expressed their views on the topic, included Deep Singh, Udhay Chand, Dr G S Charak, Sandeep Chib, Ram Kumar Sharma, Kuldeep Kumar Rao etc.
On the occasion, some resolutions were also passed for electoral reforms, free and equal education as well as health facility to all, accountability, employment etc.
